Hi! I'm Ameryn

I am a homeschooling mom of three who finds great joy in sneaking in an undetected mid day chocolate break.

I started Homeschool like a Mother to support homeschooling moms who are struggling with their decision to homeschool either because they don’t feel qualified, are completely overwhelmed, feel like it’s taking over their life and relationships, or like they’ve lost themselves in it all and don’t know what to do.

I’m here to share how homeschooling is a lifestyle, not just schooling at home, and that it looks different for everyone.

When I first started homeschooling I knew ONE person who also homeschooled, and she was super type A and did things sooo differently than I envisioned.

I also came up against many people who just didn’t understand why we would want to homeschool, and one who flat out asked ‘Do you really think you are qualified to teach your kids?’… I could have slapped him.

Oh how I wished I had a community of like minded homeschool moms back then. Someone to ask questions, to brainstorm with, and to reassure me that I wasn’t screwing it all up.

So here I am 5 years into homeschooling, making my own online community for all the moms who desperately need one.

Homeschool like a Mother

You are 100% qualified to teach your children, no matter your education background. You know your children and love them more than anything, and you are completely invested in their education.

Homeschool can look however you want it to. It is not ‘school at home’ so it can eb and flow with life and all the changes that your family may encounter.

There is no ‘right’ way to homeschool. You will find many homeschool styles out there and you are free to take from each of them to create your own style that works for you.

Homeschooling works best when the home is running smoothly and you are feeling your best. It may look different for everyone, but there are things we all can do to make it easier on us moms.

Let's simplify our everyday life so we can enjoy the fleeting moments with our children while making sure they grow up to be awesome human beings.
